The stock type and the hunter or racing type are the main body types of this breed. Animals of the stock type are short, well-muscled and compact. They have very powerful hindquarters; their movements are quick and agile. Halter type belonging to the stock type is large and heavily muscled. The racing or hunter type is taller and close to the Thoroughbred. It’s good at short distances. All types of the breed are characterized by a strong, well-muscled body, a small, short, refined head with a straight profile, a broad chest and powerful, rounded hindquarters.
